How to add Restaurant schema to your website

Google has to guess that your site belongs to a restaurant, and guess your hours, price range and menu link from the page text.

Why it matters

Restaurant schema is a small block of code that states those facts in a format Google reads directly. It is what feeds the hours, price range and menu link Google shows next to your name.

It is also what AI assistants lean on when someone asks "where should I get tacos tonight". Facts stated in schema are facts they can repeat with confidence.

How to fix it

  1. Copy the code below.
  2. Replace anything in CAPITALS with your real details. Leave out a line rather than guess.
  3. Paste it inside the <head> of your homepage (every page is better).
  4. Test it in Google’s Rich Results Test, then request indexing in Search Console.

The code

This is the fix our audit generated for a sample restaurant. Run the audit on your own site and the fix pack fills in your name, address, phone and hours for you. Anything in CAPITALS is a value we couldn’t find — fill it in, never guess.
